Lofoten Islands Wild Light Photography Tour
We are adding the spectacular Lofoten Islands to our list of amazing destinations! Wild Light Photography Workshops in Norway’s amazing Lofoten Islands are scheduled to take place in February 2019. Famed for incredible mountain scenery and sunsets, this one the world’s top destinations for landscape and travel photographers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Our tour is planned to take place in mid-February 2019 and we will have a good chance of witnessing the Northern Lights. The landscape is varied with dramatic mountains and glorious beaches such as Flakstad. Small communities with their colourful houses and buildings set in peaceful inlets and fjords give a fine perspective of scale against the surrounding mountains . There is abundant wildlife to observe including sea-eagles and marine mammals such as orca.
Warmed by the gulf stream, the climate is generally more maritime than other destinations at these latitudes such as Alaska and Greenland. As would be expected, the weather can be changeable at any time of year and guests will need to be aware that they will need warm, rain and windproof clothing as well as suitable footwear to be comfortable on those long days out on location. This is especially important if the Northern Lights appear as they usually put on the best display from 11pm-2pm. Groups will be limited to four guests on this workshop. Please contact us to register your interest for outline details of the workshop itinerary. The guide cost (tbc) will be in the region of £2000 for this six day workshop. Return air travel is not included.
The Lofoten Islands are a photographer’s paradise and this tour will reward you wonderful memories and iconic images to return home with.
