Disappointment over the loss of what I had mistakenly thought was a close friendship came to a sudden end. I’m glad of that, the disappointment had been getting me down. The remains of a wooden jetty, stoic in a choppy sea, seemed slightly symbolic once it had caught my attention. Surrounded by the turmoil of that which cannot be predicted or depended upon, my bit of jetty clearly had ‘got it’ and just seemed to getting on with enjoying the evening light.
I figured it was long past time I ‘got it’ with the evening light too, so out came the tripod and remote release. Disappointment purged. The more I use the Firecrest, the more I am liking it!
