The Mew Stone can finally relax now that the guns of HMS Cambridge are no longer trained on it. My new Firecrest 16 seems to do as Formatt claim: no overpowering cyan/blue casts as with the Lee Big Stopper or the hefty magenta/red casts of the Formatt-Hitech 10-stop filter. Four and a half minutes exposure on the Nikon D750 and 50mm f1.4G lens. Only the one filter to have to fiddle with is a bonus, too. I never feel that 10-stops is ever enough neutral density outside of twilight, 16 is more like it!
Wembury Point is a good place to make a driftwood fire and toast a marshmallow or two as the sun goes down.
