A new day dawns over probably the most photographed scene in the UK. If it is, it’s hardly surprising as Bamburgh Castle presents itself as a dramatic feature on the Northumberland coast at any time. With plenty of scope for wild camping in the dunes, early morning photography was a good option, especially as the low tide revealed the rock slabs along the shore to add interest to the foreground. I made a few exposures as the early light began to fill the scene, this one as the sun rose behind the scattered cloud was the last and is my favourite.
