Greyfriars, Leicester.

I once worked within metres of the spot where the remains of our last Plantagenet King were found buried under the car park, just out of shot on the lower right of the image, unaware of what lay just inches beneath the tarmac.   After months of argument over where Richard 111’s remains should finally be laid to rest, the judicial review says we can now have Richard back in Leicester and the historic area known as Greyfriars is being redeveloped with a new exhibition centre for his more dignified return to the city.  The image was taken on my Leica MP with the 35mm Summicron asph and Fuji Acros 100 processed in pyro developer.
