Rosebay Opportunists

Rosebay willow herb (chamerion angustifolium) is pretty impressive, I think.  You can be walking along anywhere within the treeline, turn a corner on your wanderings and suddenly it’s there.  These are opportunists that add a splash of pink and green to a demolition site, wasteground or by a woodland charcoal kiln as seen here in The Outwoods  in Leicestershire.  It’s good to have them!
