Over 300 people have now registered their interest in my Capture Birmingham sunrise over Pendigo Lake workshop at The Photography Show on 20th March 2016. We will meet before sunrise, so it will be an early start. After photographing the ‘blue hour’ we will capture the light over Pendigo Lake as it changes from cool blue/grey through the warmer colours of the ‘golden hour’ that follows. Long exposures and the use of graduated neutral density and neutral density filters will be explained and demonstrated. The workshop will last approximately 2 hours, the cost is £5 per person and numbers are limited. Thirty seven participants have confirmed by payment and there are now only three places remaining on this Birmingham workshop. Please contact me for payment details.
I will also be giving 15 minute 1-to-1 photography improvement consultations and portfolio reviews at The Photography Show on 20th, 21st & 22nd March. Workshop attendees will have priority, but this is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from sympathetic encouragement and constructive comment on their current work. I am an internationally ranked judge for professional awards and qualifications with MPA and a Mentor for aspiring and establish professional photographers. Having been through the critique and review process many times throughout my career, I firmly believe that it is one of the most important stages of your progression as a photographer and the information you will take from this will be invaluable. I am aware that for many people critique and reviews of their work can present a daunting prospect, but when delivered and received objectively the benefits are immeasurable to the candidate. Learning is one of the most enjoyable aspects of photography, we all started somewhere and for me it continues to be an ongoing process.
Please contact me to book your 15 minute consultation appointment. The cost is £5 per portfolio of 10 images.
